Cypress Creek Drainage Improvement District (CCDID)    
CCDID is sending this information to inform you that Representative Sam Harless has requested $40,000,000 from the Texas House of Representatives Appropriations Committee to mitigate flooding for Cypress Creek.
Representative Harless has specified three projects for funding:

• Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve Erosion Repair
• Cypress at Jones Stormwater Detention Basin
• Cypress Park Regional Stormwater Detention Basin
  
  Even though many more projects and dollars are needed, all of these will help to reduce flooding along Cypress Creek.  Maps are attached for each area of request.We need your help to secure this funding.  Please call the members of the Appropriations Committee (see listing below).  One of the aides will answer and you can ask that this message be given to the representative.

Below are some suggestions for your comments. This will take less than 1 minute per call.  
    I am asking you to support Representative Sam Harless’s request for $40  
    million to improve flooding conditions along Cypress Creek.  
    (This is not a bill – it is an Appropriations request).
    There are more than 500,000 residents, churches, schools, and businesses at  
    risk from flooding along Cypress Creek.
